Eleventh week

Hello again our lovely followers. We are on the last week of the 2019 and we are going to explain what we are doing on the third challenge.

As we said before, we are on the las week and we have to leave prepared some works because we don't have much time to do all the tasks of  challenge. 

With Javi we have done a print server task, that consist to  install on the Debian 9 a print server. We install CUPS on the debian and we add a printer and configured. We configured the clients Windows and Ubuntu to have the printer available, that they could print documents on that printer.

On Tuesday, we have class with Iratxe and she proposed to our group and other people to create a company, to offer computing technical support and assistant. 

Today that is Thursday. We had a meeting with another teacher to start creating the company.

Tenth week

Tenth week

Hello again our lovely followers. Like you know, we are going to explain what we did the last week. This week we started with the information search about different services we have to put in the server.

Before start with the third challenge, on Monday we have done with xabi the defense of the web page. After that the teacher explain us what we have to improve  of the web page. 

On Monday, we went to the Basque Cybersecurity center located in Gasteiz. They explain us what they do and they show their installations. After the  explanation we went to another building that is called tecnalia. In that building we play a game that consist in to hack a web page with a virtual machine that includes a kali linux with hacking tools. The goal of this game was with our knowledges and clues, steal money of another person.

Finally in thursday we have done an oral presentation with richard. In this presentation we explain the 5G wireless technology. Therewith, we finished all of the second challenge  and we start we the third challenge. We are waiting to the grades to see if we have to recover any subjects.

Ninth week

Ninth week

Hello again our lovely followers. Now we are going to explain a little bit, what we have do  this last week.

As you know we finished the second challenge last friday.  on that day we done a powerpoint summarizing what we have done in the second challenge. we split that presentation in 5 different sections. First of all we started explaining internet services like FTP, DHCP,WEB and DNS. We continued with Database administration, that consist to explain the creation of tables, users creation and give privileges..

The next topic was about Security and High availability. We show what we have done to protect our PC´s and  the LAN. After that we have show the web page and explain what it does like users login and sign up, delete users and more. Furthermore we explain how we can connect to the server with ssh and telnet. Finally, we show our company's creation with different documents like, marketing mix, canvas, internal regulation, the company's structure.

To finish we show the web page to the clients, explaining what they can do. Apart of this, we explain how they can transfer files to the server and download to the pc by FTP with filezilla.

Apart from this, we started with the third and last challenge of ASIR. The Clients explain as what they want for this challenge. This week we have done the planification and started with the printer server.

Eigth week

Hello again lovely followers, and thank you for being with us all this eight weeks that have passed. We've finally reached the final week of the challenge, and this friday we are going to present the report that we've been doing. But these are the things that we've been doing with our teachers this week:

With Iratxe, we've continued making the report, and we've done the marketing mix and the CANVAS, and all the other information we were requested.

With Gorka, we've done two groupal defenses, one about internet services, and the other about the database that we've benn making.

With Xabi, we've done an exam about PHP and MariaDB, and he also give us the mark about that exam. It was quite a good mark.

With Ricardo, we continued doing the Firewall, and we finally completed it. We also done a defense about it, and also about General Data Protection Regulation

Seventh week

Seventh Week

Hello again our lovely followers. Like you know, we are going to explain what we did the last week. We are arriving to the deadline and we have to work a lot.

We are going to start explaining what we have done with Javier. We’ve been doing a task about remote access, like SSH, Telnet and Webmin, explaining how does it work and trying it. Also, we’ve been doing another task about automatizating tasks.

With Gorka, we’ve done a documentation about users and the privileges that can have in a MariaDB database, so we can only with them determined privileges, like update, insert or other things. 

With Xabier, we’ve continued doing the web page for the challenge, and we’ve been practicing PHP, because we have an examen this friday.

With Ricardo, we’ve been doing the installation of pfSense, and documenting all the job that we’ve been doing.

And finally with Iratxe, we start the documentation of the challenge. That documentation have to contain: Organization charts, market survey, legal forms, financial sources... All this points are necessary to create a small company

Sixth Week

Hello again our lovely followers, we passed the middle of the second challenge. Now we are going to explain our week .

First of all, with Xabi we have done a simulation of an exam on friday. In the challenged we are finishing the web page done with PHP and HTML. So in this module we are on the right direction.

With Iratxe, we have done a small exercise with the survey we prepare in the week before. The class teammates simulate that are our clients and partners , and answers our questions for the  market research. 

With Ricardo, after do the comparison of the antivirus we selected Avast like our antivirus for the Client Pc, So we installed Avast on that PC. We installed the firewall on a virtual machine because we cant install on the Debian Server.

With Javi, we've done a exercise about Tasks automatization. We program some tasks in the debian and then we explain how we have done everything on the document. He send as another exercise that consist to have 3 virtual machines. A debian Server, Windows client and Ubuntu client. we have to configure the virtual machines to have connection with all of them. We have to do a document explaining all the process and some questions.

With Gorka, we have done the database  structure on phpmyadmin and MariaDB for then connect that database  with de web page. 

Fitth week

Fifth week

Hello again, our lovely followers. We except you to be very well, because we are. We already reached the fifth week of this second challenge, and this is what we've done:

With Iratxe, we continued doing the same things that we've been doing the last two weeks.

With Gorka, we've done an exam about DHCP and DNS the tuesday. We also started installing services in the Debian Server, like MariaDB, and looking for some information about it, like the max connection configuration, and some other configuration parameters.

With Xabi, we continued learning and practicing PHP, doing different exercises about it. We also installed the drivers and all the things we needed to have WiFi connection on the Debian Server.

With Ricardo, we did an exam the thursday about VPN and remote access. This exam was a test. All 

of the group passed the exams with Gorka and with Ricardo.

With Javier, we started doing a report about task automation, doing these on the Debian virtual machine, taking screenshots about these and explaining how are done.

Fourth week

Fourth Week

Hello our lovely followers, we reached the middle of the second challenge. Like you know,  we are going to explain what we did during this last week.

With Iratxe, we continued doing the market survey and the business model with the canvas model. We’re also designing the logo of the company working with our classmates from the fourth team.

With Gorka, we extended the knowledge about the services we need to install. We also started installing the Debian in the server we are going to use to do the challenge. We also put an exam the next week, so it will be the 20% off the final mark of the challenge. This exam will be about DHCP and DNS services.

With Xabi, we continued doing PHP programming in Eclipse. In this week we did an filter to select the data from a text we need to write. Aitor repeated the oral defense to retrieve the module. To prepare a better database we improved our database design we started the last week. 

With Ricardo, we have done an exam about security and system threats. In the next week we have another exam about VPN and Firewall, so we have to study a lot to pass the exam. About Practice, we continue checking the VPN configuration and comparing the antivirus to instal a good one in a client PC. 

Finally with Javier, we are gaining knowledge about programing in Ubuntu different scripts and how we can automate tasks on the PC with different commands. 

Third week

Third week

So we've reached the third week of this second challenge, and these are the things that we’ve been doing since the last time we posted.

With Ricardo, during this week is going to give us some new information about VPN, that is , Virtual Private Network. He uses classroom and moodle to give us tasks to go on in the challenge. The tasks are, do a report about the configuration of “iptables” in Debian, other report about the LOPD (Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal), install and configurate a firewall between the Internet, the DMZ (demilitarized zone) and our LAN (Local Area Network).

With Javier we continued doing scripts in Ubuntu, and we also learned about task automation. The wednesday our class partners did a recuperation exam about an other exam we did before and they failed. At the same time Javier gave us the mark of the exam we did last week, that was about processes in Ubuntu.

With Xabi we continued doing new PHP files, doing some SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and REMOVE, to view, add, update and remove information in the database we created.

And finally with Iratxe, we are creating a company. We have to do a market survey to have information of who are our clients, competitors and market. With this information we can choose to enter in the sector or not with our product and service. After the market survey we are defining the business model with the canvas model, that consist in 4 specific areas: clients, offer, infrastructure and economic viability.

 

Second week

Second week

In the second week of the challenge we've some new things, which are the following:

With Xabi we continued learning more PHP language, more difficult than what we’ve done already, learning how to connect to the database we’ve created. 

With Javier we started learning how to do scripts in Linux, and we started creating some of them. We also did an exam the wednesday, about the processes in Linux.

With Ricardo we’ve started learning about firewalls, proxy and about computer security: viruses,  malware, adware, etc…We also learned about the hash, and we did a test to probe it.

With Gorka we continued installing the services we need to use to create our webpage, and we’ve done an explanation of the database we’re going to use.

And finally with Iratxe we went with all the class and we took a photo.

To finish the first challenged they are going to give us the marks of each module we've been teached, maybe an individual feedback and a groupal feedback. With all this, the teachers are going to tell us how to improve in the next challenges to get better marks and continue being the first team of the class.

First week

The first week of Le Respetècs

In this first week we’ve finished the first challenge and the teachers presented the second one. In this new challenge we’ll need to install and configure some services like DHCP, DNS, Apache and FTP on a Debian server, so we’ve done it in a virtual machine installed on our physical computer. We’ve also started to learn PHP language, to connect our database with the web server. 

We have to plan how many user roles we have to give them different privileges to get inside our future webpage.

We’ve already started to configure the services, and we’ve already finished with DNS and DHCP.

The other service we've looked for information is FTP, and we've selected ProFTPD, so we’ll install it in the next days in our Debian server.

We’ve also learned some information about firewalls and what is contains. Also, we’ve learned how iptables works, and how to configure it.
